Strong WebSphere Portal development experience.
In-depth experience with WCM & JSR286, and related interfaces
Building of virtual portals a big plus
Scope summary:
We will be assisting our client in building out both their internal and external portals over the next 6-9 months as they migrate to the latest WebSphere Portal versions, with emphasis on virtual portals. There are numerous related and maintenance tasks as well.
This is an immediate hire situation, and successful candidate must be willing to work at our client site.
WebSphere Portal/WCM development with deep knowledge in the development and administration aspects of WebSphere Portal is essential in understanding where to use (and not use) Virtual Portals, and the use cases for the alternate options such as multiple portal profiles, separate installs, etc. Strong emphasis on the requirement for experience with Virtual Portals
Architecture, design, and development experience on WebSphere Portal & WCM platforms.
Strong experience designing and developing business solutions using Portal’s key capabilities such as virtual portals, themes & skins, JSR 286 portlets, script portlets, page templates, page profiles, layouts, personalization, portal security model, content management, search, DDC, etc.
Experience in the administration and middleware configurations (clustering, scaling, capacity planning, security models, etc of WebSphere Portal.
Expertise (architecture and development) in web technologies – Java/JEE, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, responsive & adaptive web design, CSS, WebServices, Web Application Security, etc.
Experience with network infrastructure design for multi-tenant web solutions” as a requirement if you intend to provide URL-level branding to the various portals – this can be very tricky to pull off and can complicate security, service integration, and several aspects of theme development.
