JOB DESCRIPTION :
The Sr. BSA will mainly provide technology thought leadership to the transportation and logistics business, and serve as a liaison between the transportation system users, business partners and IT. You will identify business opportunities, system business process gaps, performance concerns and enhancement needs. You will play a key role for all transportation system implementations to ensure business users are prepared.
What Will You Do?
· Participate in identification and implementation of transportation management system {TMS) needs for the transportation operations and procurement teams.
· Be the transportation process team''s voice with IT regarding acquisition, implementation, system enhancements, and upgrades.
· Communicate business needs and work with the both business and IT leadership team to fulfill resource needs for design, testing and implementation support.
· Lead the work effort to ensure the transportation process team is prepared for system changes, training, SOP’s.
· Create user forum; goal is to provide communication of progress and identification of any gaps.
· Work with internal and external business partners to define business requirements associated with system utilization and enhancements. Define and execute test scenarios.
· Communicate issues impacting daily operations to the transportation process team and provide updates on resolution.
· Work with the transportation managers to ensure performance issues are resolved and communicate business impact.
· Application system functionality, corrections for production problems, recommendations for improvement, data correction, data conversion, one-time corrective actionand coordination with other IT Support groups for problem resolution.
· Review current transportation business processes to determine where automation improvements will drive efficiency.
What Experience is Required?
· Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Business Management, or Computer Science with
· More than 8 years Systems Analyst experience, this experience should include:
· Application of Business Analysis concepts and theories
· Agile or Waterfall methodologies, project management, SDLC environments, system testing, and requirement gathering
· Experience implementing, managing and supporting transportation management software
· Microsoft SharePoint, Visio and Project
· Experience leading a software development or project team
· Background in barge, rail or truck transportation is preferred
