Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Active Directory (AD) Administrator’s role is to manage the Enterprise Active Directory servers and related components to achieve high availability and performance of the various business applications supported. This highly influential and technical individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure security and best practices regarding design, implementation and maintenance is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Participates in and supports capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for IT as is relates to Active Directory, authentication, LDAP, ADFS and related technologies and integrations with AD.
Good understand and troubleshooting experience in PKI certificate services, DNS / DHCP / WINS/ / restore / recover DC’s /objects / services etc.
Good understanding of MIM / AFDS / Azure AD etc.,
Coordinates with network engineering, business application and systems owners to ensure that they utilize industry best practices to meet enterprise objectives.
Installs, configures, initiates, manages and maintains Microsoft Active Directory servers, software, and any required equipment.
Performs all tasks necessary to fulfill service level agreements regarding account management services availability and security; including those involving user accounts, shared folders GPO’s.
Implements group policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure Microsoft Active Directory servers and services remain secure through secure access, monitoring, control, and routine security evaluations.
Remains informed on laws, trends, and issues, including current and emerging technologies and best practices related to Microsoft Active Directory and related software, services and capabilities.
Anticipates, mitigates, identifies, responds to, and resolves problems affecting Active Directory systems performance, efficiency, and availability.
Participates in on-call rotation.
Supports application development teams and software migrations where Active Directory plays a role.
Monitors, tests, and analyzes Active Directory system and software activities to ensure maximum performance, efficiency, and availability.
Develops, implements, documents, and maintains policies, procedures, and associated training plans for Active Directory system administration and appropriate use.
Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Active Directory 2008/2012 administration including GPO usage.
Knowledge of industry best practices for backup and recovery of Active Directory and related components.
Experience with high-availability design (failover systems and data replication
Experience with server virtualization technologies (VMWare
Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
