Barrister Global Services Network Inc. is currently looking for a motivated, highly detailed, organized and outgoing individual to support one of our major nationwide clients. The successful applicant should be able to quickly adapt their knowledge to the current IT environment and be able to enhance the current systems in place. They should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills so as to be understood by technical and non-technical personnel.

Job Summary :

This position will support the production process by utilizing applications such as Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office to generate soft and hard copy proofs while maintaining and organizing all incoming digital assets. Qualified candidates will be self-motivated and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced team oriented environment.


Essential Job Functions:

Perform preflight checks to ensure all print/digital elements are included while communicating with the campaign managers to resolve missing components
Perform file prep steps necessary to create print-ready PDFs
Facilitate the creation of hard-copy proofs as needed
Electronically file, maintain and update graphics/assets on internal server, FTP or digital asset management sites.



Requirements :
Experience with Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Print production and/or pre-press .
High level of accuracy and attention to detail required.
Willingness to learn new skills and follow workflows as set by supervisors
Skilled in both Mac and PC software
Adobe Creative Suite expertise required (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office required (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Expert understanding of Pantone, CMYK, and RGB color spaces
Expert understanding of size, resolution and image file types for web and print.
Knowledge of pre-press concepts such as color separation, preflight and pdf workflow
Ability to tag new photography with metadata
Excellent communication skills are an absolute must.



Preferred:

Understanding of variable data print processes is a plus
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred but not required
