Principal Level Network Engineer

Location: Burlington, MA

Duration: Full Time

Summary: The Network Engineer role is responsible for design, implementation, and management of a complex comprehensive secure network framework for connectivity that meets client internal and external connectivity needs and requirements. Primary Responsibilities: Contribute to the design, implementation and direct support of customers utilizing an internal Cloud Services Platform. Configure and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls and VPN Concentrators. Perform network and host-based security and risk assessments, design and implement security-related improvements / enhancements to customer and internal networks and work with network and systems engineers in implementing security infrastructure components. Qualifications: Ethernet, MPLS, EOMPLS, IP, TCP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP, DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SSL, 1G/10G network futures, FCIP, FCoE, Cisco Nexus, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco MDS, Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, HP Blade systems (VirtualConnect, Flex 10) Experience designing, configuring, installing, maintaining and supporting corporate data center and site network environments to meet the company’s requirements for availability, performance, security and scalability. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field Preferred Certifications: CCDE, CCNA, CCDP, CCNP, CCIE Experience with designing and implementing large-scale networks, network routing, switches, and internet-related networking and security technologies. 5 or more years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing security policies and infrastructure in a multi-customer ISP Data environment. Familiar with and experienced in providing network, telephony, and systems management, administration, and support. Strong skills using MS and other office automation and project management tools and techniques
