Application Programmer
"The Operational Intelligence Team seeks a strong engineer to develop and drive the teams monitoring strategy and its adoption and evolution with a focus on standards and application instrumentation for critical Bank Applications.
This is a unique opportunity to work with Business, Application Development and Support teams, Monitoring Tools teams and to create Monitoring Requirements and build end-end monitoring solutions to support applications.
The ideal candidate for this hands-on position will have excellent technical skills as well as strong communication skills to work with development teams and other engineering and business teams.
This is not an application development role, however experience working in some capacity with an application development team - understanding how different components in an application work together, interaction with the middleware, system software and Hardware is essential. Diverse engineering skills to architect and implement monitoring solutions
Requirements:
- 3+ years Development or Architecture experience for multi-tiered business applications
- 2+ years production systems engineering and/or support role.
- Proven experience with monitoring tools such as – Tivoli, Aternity Splunk, Introscope, Sitescope, AppDynamics etc.
- Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) based infrastructure services, processing, monitoring, shell scripts, etc.
- Proven experience in programming languages (Java and/or .NET)
- Proven experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring
- An excellent communicator
- A Self-motivated, hands-on, driven individual
- A strategic thinker who can link business context to technical reality
