Job Description:
6-10 years’ experience Citrix Engineer with 6+ years of administration/engineering/architect experience with multiple versions of Citrix XenApp, including version 6.5. Citrix certification is a plus.
This person will have 6+ years of System Administration experience with Windows Server 2008, and 2012 operating systems, experience with Active Directory, VMWare ESX5.x technologies and experience deploying XenApp virtual server guests on VMW hosts. This person will also have experience with Citrix Provisioning Server in XenApp virtual server environment and experience with Citrix Access Gateway running on the NetScaler appliance platform.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, install, develop, test, modify and maintain all software and components relating to the Citrix operational environment.
Resolve technical, operational and hardware problems of all severity levels utilizing both internal and external vendor resources.
Serve as a resource for solving complex user, application and system problems.
Provide technical assistance and information to other Infrastructure, Application and various vendor personnel.
Prepare documentation for use by operations staff, application teams, technical support and vendor partners.
Evaluate and make recommendations hardware platforms, system and support software, and end user tools as they relate to the Citrix operational environment.
Evaluate the performance of the Citrix environment by utilizing available tools and aids to monitor trends, loads, and growth patterns.
Perform tests and routine preventative maintenance in our Citrix and End User Computing environment.
Additional Skills:
Experienced Citrix Engineer with 6+ years of administration experience with multiple versions of Citrix XenApp including version 6.5. Citrix certification a plus.
Experienced systems engineer who has 6+ years of system administration experience with Windows 2008 and 2012 operating systems.
Experience with Active Directory.
Experience executing version upgrades of XenApp.
Experience with VMWare ESX technologies
Experience deploying XenApp virtual server guests on VMWare hosts.
Experience Citrix Provisioning Server in a XenApp virtual server environment
Experience with Citrix Access Gateway running on the NetScaler appliance platform.
Experience with Citrix Edgesight and Edgesight for Endpoints Knowledge of SCOM and experience with automated system monitoring technology.
Experience with Windows patching procedures XenDesktop experience required.
Experience with Citrix App-DNA is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft App-V is a plus SQL development a plus
