Skill’s:Customarily and regularly leads and directs the work and manages the personnel issues of direct report employees including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating staff, and recommending or initiating promotions, transfers and disciplinary action of a high-performance software development team of skilled developers.
Responsible for staying abreast of industry advances that may improve ability to execute more efficiently; researches and evaluates new technologies to determine their applicability to assigned software development projects.
Ability to work with a production team on scheduling, planning and sizing of functional specifications and software designs.
Responsible for monitoring project timelines and key development milestones.
Customarily and regularly ensures that software design features and objectives are consistent with internal customer and regulatory requirements.
Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the preparation and/or oversight of project staffing estimates. Monitors project status and skill requirements and ensures appropriate resource levels and mix of competencies among staff.
Ensures efficient project management and coordination of internal teams with external resources to dependably deliver committed projects within budget, on time and with exceptionally high quality.
Customarily and regularly collects, analyzes and reports on important metrics during the software development phase of a product.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant equivalent experience required.
11+ years of software development experience.
5+ years of management and/or team leadership experience in a software development role.
Proven ability to manage and lead teams using both Traditional and Agile software development methodologies interchangeably.
ERP Exposure is a must have. Min 4 years of hands-on Microsoft Navision (preferred), Oracle Applications or SAP extensions development management is needed.
Strong familiarity with Microsoft or Java Technologies.
SQL server or Oracle Database experience.
Gaming/Manufacturing Domain understanding is preferred.
Familiarity with Inventory management, Procurement and Financials a plus.
Demonstrated ability of Strong Solution Architecture skills required.
