Location: Los Angeles, CA

Duration: 2 years

Contract Preference: W2 (or) 1099 (or) Corp-Corp

DUTIES
The Consultant’s duties shall include all of the following:
Develop and maintain custom workflow and non-workflow applications.
Serve as a technical resource for other members of the lTD Application Development Team. Mentor other team developers in adhering to coding standards and best practices development methodology.
Gather user requirements, analyze the requested enhancements and or modifications and translate the functional requirements into detailed specifications for programming using Microsoft Office Products.
Design, develop, and test new and enhanced Web applications utilizing the existing development framework to extend the functionality of the existing applications using Oracle APEX /Oracle BI.
Develop test plan, conduct test and test output for program/system accuracy; and ensure database compliance and security.
Provide training to the lTD Application Development Team in the maintenance and support of the developed applications.
Develop and maintain application and system level documentation including flow charts along with detailed logic specifications using Microsoft Office Products.
Perform a 0walk through” for all work performed on an as-requested or asn eeded basis.
Ensure/provide back-up coverage for development support ITO Staff when original developer is unavailable.
Meet projected target dates. If unable to do so, keep the County’s Project Manager informed on the status of the assignment including the reason for delay in the periodic status report/meeting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The Consultant must meet all of the minimum qualifications below:

1. Five (5) years of experience within the last seven (7) years analyzing, designing, programming and implementing applications.

2. Four (4) years of experience within the last six (6) years developing Web applications using Oracle Application

Express (APEX), Oracle application/database architecture, and PLJSQL.

3. Three (3) years of experience within the last four (4) years using BI Publisher.

4. A Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited four-year college/university in one (1) of the following majors: Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Computer Sciences or Informatics.
