Job role:
Junior to Mid-level tech artist / Processing Wrangler

Description
This artist/wrangler is responsible for helping the production team process and track production of holographic video.

Responsibilities:
- Manages the scheduling and processing of holographic video assets
- Sets parameters and monitors results for each processing job
- Defines best practices/parameters for common processing scenarios
- Participates with creative team in asset development
- Quality control review of results
- Teach licensing partners how to process at their facilities
Qualification/Skills:
- Familiar with 3D assets, computer graphics (including textures and color mapping)
- Familiar with Windows ecosystem, basic IT skills (can install software) and SQL knowledge
- Technically minded; knows how to use various computer applications
- Excellent communication skills, enjoys working on a team and teaching others
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- Ability to prioritize and deal with heavy workload/multiple simultaneous projects
- Ability to record information accurately and detect/report issues before they compromise delivery
- Ability to analyze and problem solve / keen attention to detail
- Ability to learn new software quickly or on the job if necessary
- Ability to take instruction, but also work independently when needed

Bonus points:
- Familiarity with ZBrush, Maya and/or Meshlab
- Familiarity with XAML, C# or other languages
- Deeper familiarity with systems/IT issues relating to processing farms


Top 3 hard skills
Depth of experience with each
Stack-ranked 1 2-4 years’ experience with production team processing from a company such as: Disney/Pixar, WETA, Lucas Films/ILM or similar (will look at some strong academic experience as well
2 Familiar with 3D assets, computer graphics (including textures and color mapping Some SQL knowledge.
3 Strong experience with Adobe Photoshop.

Nice to have experience with software such as Renderman, Arnold, V-Ray, Mental Ray, and Maxwell.
