Systems Engineering Consultant/Expert

Position Description:
Systems Engineer (WebLogic Infrastructure Analyst) - Provide WebLogic Infrastructure services for Global Ford Credit Java EE applications, including problem resolution for development and production environments. - Provide operational support such as restarts, script executions, production monitoring and Application Team requests. - Develop utilities, scripts and programs for improved application availability, maintenance tasks and monitoring. - Define and implement recommendations for tuning, service packs and parameters, based on performance and capacity. - SSL registration/renewing certificates. - Research and evaluate WebLogic, IHS and WebSphere Infrastructure components and assist with upgrades. - Create and maintain documentation for procedures, configurations and standards. - Provide Duty Analyst Support 24x7 via pager on a rotating schedule. - Core Business hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm - May be required to work weekends, provide off hours support, and/or carry pagers.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Application Server, UNIX/Linux, IHS/Apache Webserver, IBM MQ Series, WebSphere Application Server and shell scripting - Experience with infrastructure architecture relating to applications and engineering for highly scalable environments. - Excellence in Infrastructure and Production Support responsibilities - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Ability to learn new technologies and processes. - Strong customer service and teamwork
Skills Preferred:
- General knowledge of Java EE architecture - Java programming
Experience Required:
5+ years with WebLogic
Education Required:
Bachelors Degree preferred
