Title: Network Specialist
Location: Waco, TX
POSSIBLE CONTRACT FOR HIRE
Duration: 12 month contract; possibility of contract extension or full-time hire @ end of contract.
Interview Process: Telephone, Face to Face Interview (REQUIRED)
NOTES:
Candidate must have expert, lead level, extensive experience with F5 Big-IP (LTM, GTM, APM)
Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewall
Extensive experience with Cisco switches, routers, wireless
Will support /troubleshoot with internal technical resources
Prefers Cisco networking certified expert
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Skill in network design, installation and implementation
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships to manage complex integrative projects
Skill in problem identification and formulation of alternatives and solutions to maintain operational integrity of the enterprise network
Skill in establishing and maintaining relationships with staff and management
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Ability to write and/or oversee the development of detailed documents and project plans
Ability to take ownership of assigned projects and bring them to completion with minimal oversight
Ability to assess impacts of proposed projects as it relates to this position''s functional responsibilities
Ability to rapidly transition work activities from defining "big picture" needs to working on the minuscule details of a concept, problem, and/or project activities
Ability to monitor, measure, diagnose and trouble-shoot network problems with the assistance of software/hardware devices specifically designed for this purpose
REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive Experience with F5 Big-IP; Preferred experience with APM
Extensive Experience with Palo Alto firewall
Extensive Experience with Cisco Switches and Wireless
Extensive Experience with Network Architecture
Extensive Experience in Supporting LANs
Extensive Experience in Supporting WANs
Experience in Active Directory; Preferred experience with O365
Experience in VoIP
Experience in IT Security
Experience with MS Exchange
Experience with Project Management processes
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Information Systems or related field, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSE, CCNA
7+ years network infrastructure experience, (LAN, WAN, MPLS, Wireless)
Excellent working knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, F5 Big-IP Platform, Cisco switches, Wireless solutions, VoIP
Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, MS Exchange, DNS, DHCP, SQL Server, Windows 7, Linux, Office 2010/365, VISIO, and other related applications
