Job Description :
The Manager of IT Application Services is responsible for managing the Enterprise wide application portfolio, including managing the day to day operations of clinical & business applications, vendor management and development & improvement of the key applications. This position will manage the central office IT application team, comprising of application analysts, interface analysts, as well as a solutions architect. This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer.
IT Application Services group is required to not only aspire for uncompromised application support but excellent customer service as well. The ideal candidate will bring an excellent blend of deep and wide range of application functional understanding, great people management skills and a great potential for tight alignment with the Mission and Core Values of our organization.
Responsibilities


· Build effective working relationships with care center leaders and regularly assess the degree to which application performance is meeting their care center’s needs.
· Bring a framework to the prioritization of competing demands, manage the expectations of internal clients and timely communicate changes in priorities and deadlines. Emphasize the importance of keeping internal clients apprised of status and model the same.
· Bring structure and predictability to the delivery of application support while remaining flexible and responsive when circumstances require.
· Develop and implement application performance measures that aligns with client satisfaction.
· Recruit, develop and retain key technical personnel capable of fulfilling the high standards expected in professional services organizations.
· Cultivate the IT Application Services team’s collective knowledge and ideas to continuously improve technical support and innovative services.
· Oversee and strengthen the discipline around software architecture & support
· Level of data management support & alignment with organization’s business & clinical intelligence strategy is required
· Develop the protocols for escalating support requests to the Technology and User Support teams and ensuring they are timely resolved.
· Keep internal clients apprised of network and system problems, scheduled maintenance, risk management concerns and other issues.
· Anticipate the needs of – and advocate for – internal clients when network, system and application changes are being considered.
· Respect the entrepreneurial culture of the organization’s care centers while evolving the organization toward more standards as opportunities arise.
· Ensure technical support complies with and reinforces company policies.
· Work closely with the IT architects and the CIO to develop & maintain a clear IT roadmap for the Enterprise.

Qualifications

Certifications/Experience/Education
BA or BS at an accredited University/College with a minimum seven years of people management experience.
Management of application analysts, functional analysts or developers a plus
Masters or graduate degree a plus
Six Sigma or Lean methodology knowledge a plus
Must have healthcare application knowledge
Experience in IT planning & project management required
