Job Description :
Location: Houston, TX (MUST sit onsite)
Duration: 6 months
Position Title: ServiceNow CMDB System Administrator

Summary:
This role is responsible for modifications to ServiceNow’s Configuration Management system functionality. Collaboration with other ServiceNow System Administrators and key stakeholders to analyze and understand requirements, then transform requirements into solution.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Design, develop and maintain solutions within the ServiceNow to support Configuration Management
Design, develop and supports integrated CMDB systems
Develop process and system to support Business Service Management using Service Now’s Service Mapping and discovery tools
Develop stategy for engagement for integrated CMDB. Develop near term and long erm roadmaps.
Performs migration of code from development and test systems to production system.
Create and maintain migration documentation
Maintain code control log and validates code migration documentation, in accordance with audit and change control guidelines
Provide technical leadership and training, perform peer code reviews and ensure the ServiceNow team follows development best-practices related to CMDB activities
Responsible for overall ServiceNow CMDB code quality
Responsible for reviewing requirements to ensure sufficient detail for accurate implementation estimation
Attend regularly scheduled meetings to identify any tasks or user stories that are “at risk” and provides support as needed
Work with management and key stakeholders to ensure best practice for design and testing strategies for Development, QA and User Acceptance Testing
Troubleshoot software problems, implement bug fixes and perform root cause analysis on ServiceNow issues
Collaborate with other System Administrators and ServiceNow support concerning strategies and technical aspects of platform upgrades

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Technology/Business or equivalent work experience
ITIL v3 or 2011 Certification
ServiceNow System Administrator Certification

Required:
2-4 Years of ServiceNow Administrator experience.
ServiceNow implementation and/or maintenance on several ServiceNow modules: Incident Management; Knowledge Management; Change Management; Service Catalog; Asset Management; Problem Management, CMBD; Integration and Discovery
Experience with Client Scripts, UI Policies, Business Rules, Advanced Reference Qualifiers, Reporting, Security through Access Control Rules and Graphical Workflows
Strong documentation experience to capture client as-is/to-be process workflow
Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, waterfall, etc)
Knowledge of LDAP/Active Directory
Previous experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server
2+ years of experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax

Additional Experience a plus:
ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping and Orchestration training is a plus
2+ years of experience as System Administrator of other ITSM platforms
