FIS Business Analyst II General Requirements

The Finance Information Systems (FIS) Business System Analyst will collaborate with the Finance organization to understand business needs, analyze and evaluate various IT solutions and drive enhancements that generate business value.

The role requires a strong ability to translate business needs/strategy into deliverable IT capabilities. Individual will be responsible for determining requirements and clearly communicating them to stakeholders, facilitators and partners. The participation in cross-functional teams is required to analyze business problems as well as recommend solutions or enhancements to current procedures or processes.

The Business Systems Analyst acts as the liaison between the business and the IT development and operations support teams. Role requires a high-level of customer focus and business knowledge to ensure the appropriate business needs are clearly defined, communicated and delivered at or above expectations.


FIS Business Analyst II - Responsibilities and Duties

? Scope development
? Assisting with business case development
? Planning and monitoring
? Requirements gathering and organization
? Partnering to understand business problem
? Plan and design of modifications, reports, forms and interfaces
? Create functional design specifications for the development team
? Develop change documentation


FIS Business Analyst II - Education and/or Certifications Requirements

? Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science or Information Technology
? Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
? Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting ERP applications (Infor Lawson, PowerPlan preferred)
? Strong leadership ability
? Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis
? Ability to translate and simplify business requirements
? Expert at eliciting, writing and managing user requirements
? Expert at documenting business processes using best practices and standard tools
? Ability to organize, prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with a team or individually
? Strong oral and written communication skills
? PMP certified preferred
