8+ UNIX/Linux Security
Have conducted structured security risk assessments,
Knowledge of CIS / Controls and Hardening
Excellent communication skills
4+ years authentication mechanism experience
Below is the original requirement.
Must Have:
10+ years of the following:
Unix & Linux Security: Knowledge of available Controls and Hardening systems in compliance with standards – knowledge of controls such as CIS benchmarks
Securing COTS and open source typically used in infrastructure management systems e.g. Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, NoSQL DBs, Oracle DB
Knowledge of Host Based Security controls such as HIDS, IPTables, Tripwire, Logging agents, File Integrity Monitoring
Structured Security Risk Assessment of IT infrastructure
5+ years of the following:
Fundamentals of IP Networking & Network Security
Knowledge of SSL and PKI
Authentication mechanisms - SSL, Kerberos, Multi-factor Auth, LDAP-based authentication, Unix PAM
Knowledge of infrastructure automation components such as Ansible, Satellite
Scope of Work:
This position requires strong fundamentals in Unix and Infrastructure security. Ability to do structured risk assessments with technical insight, ability to rapidly assess the security of new technology after a short learning curve, and ability to constructively engage with other senior and architect level colleagues.
Excellent communication is essential.
Knowledge of VMWare security would be considered a plus.
Industry certifications: CISSP and SANS certifications would be a significant advantage
