Job Title: Wireless Protocol Analyst
Location: Bridgewater, NJ
Duration: Contract
Overview:
Responsible for providing protocol log analysis, issue debugging and verification based on carrier requirements, Samsung specifications and telecommunication standards for mainly LTE/CDMA, LTE/GSM models and modes of operation.
Analyze and debug UE logs for 4G PS data/PLMN search/Cell selection-reselection/Attach-detach/Handover and other similar UE scenarios from LTE AS/NAS protocol point of view.
Analyze and debug IMS registration-deregistration, VoLTE/VoWiFi/Call failures/Conferencing/Emergency call/SMS and other similar UE procedure.
Analyze mobile software defects with logs taken by testers. Occasionally performing network related measurement on various carrier networks and technologies is needed.
Creates, extends, and executes automated test plans to verify Wireless Mobile operation.
Experiencing in developing test automation framework using Python or C
Strong debugging skills and in-depth knowledge of testing, Automation and Python coding.
Able to build test automation frameworks to test mobile device.
Identify opportunities to assist the manual test tem, such as automation of test data generation, test execution and development of reporting tools.
Being comfortable working with Android and Windows platforms
Research in complex experimental test programs and test frameworks to thoroughly evaluate functionality, design requirements, operational capacity and customer performance expectations. Assist in analyzing test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
Primary Skills:
B.S in Wireless Communication, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering required, M.S preferred.
5-10 years’ experience in development of communication protocols, modem protocols analysis, 4G/IMS technologies and stellar debugging skills (QXDM, QPST, ADB, Wireshark, etc.
Strong experience in LTE and IMS (SIP Protocol for VoLTE/WFC/VT) log analysis
Knowledge of 3GPP specifications, particularly RRC.
Knowledge of SIP protocols and IMS bases services.
Knowledge of Android and smartphone platforms (especially telephony and RIL
Knowledge of end-to-end procedures used for voice and data call establishment, mobility, and interworking with core network entities.
Knowledge of 3GPP LTE E-UTRAN, Evolved Packet System and working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack.
Secondary Skills:
2 or more years of test automation experience using automation frameworks
Experience with Python, Java, JavaScript language
Knowledge or experience using automation tools within a mobile (iOS/Android) environment.
Ability to write and interprets concise functional implementation and test design documents. Follow process-oriented methodology to insure compliance to requirements.
Prior experience in telecommunications engineering activities. Must have experience with Java, C++, MS project and other MS Office products. Must have PC and UNIX Workstation experience in a LAN/WAN systems environment.
