We have an urgent requirement with our direct client for Quality Assurance Tester
Position: Quality Assurance Tester
Duration: 1 year with extension possible
Location: Carson City, NV
Required Skills:
A minimum of two (2) years of direct experience executing formal, written functional, integration, and system test procedures in compliance with a widely recognized standard such as Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) or ISO;
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in managing test plans, test cases, test scenarios, requirements traceability, defect tracking and defect resolution and procedures in compliance with IEEE standards;
A minimum of two (2) years of experience creating and maintaining test beds as well as release management across test environments;
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in testing on a project using automation testing tools such as Test Management, Functional/Regression, Load/Performance/Stress/Memory Leak, Link Checking, GUI testing as well as scripting languages;
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the role of Test Lead leading testing resources.
A minimum of one (1) year experience on a project where iterative testing was performed, with multiple production deployments;
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience with tracking and reporting quality-related metrics;
Solid understanding of project lifecycle including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation;
Demonstrated ability to communicate and translate technical terminology, concepts and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and resource staff;
Be willing to be on-call and work overtime if/when required;
Have the ability to communicate clearly both written and verbally in English;
Be able to use the internet, vendors, libraries and other available sources to research issues or needs;
Be able to resolve problems and implement solutions;
Have a valid driver’s license;
Be able to work in stressful conditions with mandatory deadlines; and
Complete State required security training which must be completed before system access will be granted.
Preferred Skills:
Experience as test lead on a large-scale software development project; and
Experience as test lead on large-scale government or private sector software development project.
