Title: Network Engineer
Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632
Duration: 3 Months (contract to hire)

About the team:
The Network Operation team is the team responsible for maintaining the Global network on a day to day base. The group provides all Level II and Level III support for all technologies that are supported on the network.
The group also maintains the network tool suite which includes NNM, NetBrain, NetQos, and more.
The team is also works on daily projects and request for the global client base.
The team has a 24/7 on call rotation that is ready to tackle any issue.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Network Operations for the entire enterprise network.
Work directly with clients and vendors to help troubleshoot issues, work on solution to long term problem.
Also work on individual projects and request.
Multi-faceted high-end networking individual, who will be responsible for the maintaining the daily operations of the Global Enterprise network. Also responsible for projects, documentation and troubleshooting, and reporting.

Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience leading complex project builds with proven performance to achieve on-time completion of projects.
Demonstrated successful design, planning and implementation of wide and local area network architecture, including troubleshooting and capacity planning.
Expertise working on a team with motivated cross functional individuals focused on a common goal of delivering cutting edge solutions to meet aggressive business demands in an ever changing environment to achieve on-time and on budget completion of projects.
Cisco CCNP certificate or equivalent experience
Strong communication skills
Solid documentation experience with Visio, Word, Excel
Ambitious and goal oriented, with initiative to work tasks to completion.
Responsible for implementing complex projects (any “first time” builds)
Willing to participate in periodic 24/7 on-call rotation.
Willing to travel, work off-hours and on weekends as required.
Potential candidates should possess a range of the following skills:
Extensive knowledge of enterprise, datacenter, DMZ and internet routing and switching design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Experience implementing and troubleshooting:
Routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and ISIS
WAN connectivity especially MPLS
LAN technologies: Spanning-tree, VTP, Port Channels, VPC, HSRP
Multicast Routing, specifically PIM and IGMP
NAT/PAT
Experience in Network Security, including the design, configuration, and tuning of Cisco, Juniper and/or Palo Alto firewalls
Excellent understanding of VPN - site to site, client, IPSEC (including the protocol suite), IKE, tunnel modes, SSL clientless/ Anyconnect, Tunnels between ASAs, Routers
Extensive knowledge of Datacenter design utilizing the Cisco Nexus product line
Strong knowledge of the Cisco ASR 9000 (IOS-XR) and Cisco 6500 products
Familiar with common monitoring and alerting systems, comfortable with SNMP and netflow
Responsible for tier 2/3 troubleshooting and escalations
Design and deploy necessary controls to insure the network meets service levels

Desired Characteristics:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Strong background in wireless communication design, configuration
Cisco Wireless
Wireless surveys
Wireless site assessment and audit
MPLS traffic engineering design, configuration, and troubleshooting, specifically:
LDP, TDP, RSVP
MPBGP-VPNv4, Multi-VRF and VRF-Lite
Design and implementation of voice or video network infrastructures.
Design and implementation of Quality Of Service(QoS), able to customize across Cisco platforms to support Voice, Video, and other applications
Experience with F5 load-balancing infrastructure
Experinece with Global Server Load balancing
Experience with DMVPN implementation
Scripting, specifically: Unix shell, python and/or powershell, ideally in a network automation context
Acceptance testing of new hardware and software.
