The position of JBoss Administrator is responsible to build, maintain, support, monitor, and troubleshoot Apache and JBoss servers being used by all agency applications.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain JBoss application server setup.
Build and maintain Apache Web Server setup.
Configure the apache instances for supporting Siteminder agents.
Support the application groups in:
Deploying application releases to pseudo, training and production environments
Troubleshooting issues in both Production and non-production
Coordinating with various ITS Server infrastructure groups to fulfill applications non-functional requirements
Participating in the applications load test process and analyze any identified server side issue
Installation and configuration of Dynatrace agents
Utilize the approved and provided application monitoring tools as part of troubleshooting.
Work with the agency’s request, incident, change, release management tools, currently ITSM, as needed to communicate, make requests, etc.
WRTS (Windows) :Build and maintain DTPRA setup.
Build and maintain JBoss application server setup.
Build and maintain Apache Web Server setup.
Configure the apache instances for supporting Siteminder and I3 agents.
Support the application groups in:
Deploying application releases to Production environment
Troubleshooting issues in both Production and non-production
Coordinating with legacy group for DTPRA RA identifiers
Installation and configuration of Dynatrace agents
ECM: Support the application groups in:
Deploying application releases to Production environment
Troubleshooting issues in both Production and non-production.
Required Skills:
84 months experience performing enterprise level application server platform installation and configuration.
84 months experience performing Apache Web server installation and configuration (Apache Virtual Hosting & Shared Hosting Experience
72 months experience performing JBoss clustering, load balancing, DNS based load balancing, 3rd party load balancers
72 months experience performing JBoss and Apache troubleshooting and log analysis
72 months experience with JBoss Web Server and Application server performance tuning
72 months experience with installing and configuring JBoss Operations Network (JON) at the enterprise level
72 months experience with Shell scripting
72 months experience with Linux system administration as it pertains to managing JBoss enterprise platform
60 months experience of J2EE application development for troubleshooting deployment and operation issues and preparing documentation supporting the work activities.
72 months experience with networking & OS concepts (DNS, Messaging, Network protocols, SSL etc.,)
