DEPARTMENT/TEAM DESCRIPTION
Department: Business Services – IT Operations – R&D IT for Crop Science
Our department designs, implements and supports IT systems that support R&D activities of the Crop Science Division both in the US and globally.
POSITION SUMMARY
Support LIMS for Crop Science R&D
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Business analysis and documentation of requirements for new features (working with scientists)
Track implementation of new releases
Monitor and triage issues and problem tickets
Perform some hands-on technical work
Manage remote LIMS technical support resources
REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES
Education Requirement(s):
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Skill & Competency Requirements:
Biotech/Pharma/AgTech R&D experience preferred
Hands-on LIMS development experience, preferably Labvantage
Experience in full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Knowledge of SQL database design, and 1+ programming language (Java, .net)
Requirements analysis skills to document technical requirements
Vendor management skills to resolve issues.
Effort estimation skills to provide accurate estimates of project work
Application Support experience monitoring problem tickets and triage for support team; ITIL preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferences:
Linux administration
Travel Requirements:
Up to 15%
