Our client, a public research university offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a wide range of disciplines, seeks an accomplished Cognos Programmer Analyst.
Description:
Design, develop and manage reporting and business intelligence solutions to meet business needs.
Develop several reports – List, Crosstab, drill through, master – detail, charts and complex reports involving multiple prompts, conditional formatting, filters, multi-page and multi-query reports.
Responsible for testing, data validation of reports and performance tuning of reports.
Involved in preparing documentation of developed reports in the project.
Requirements:
Strong skillset in using JavaScript for advanced prompting and enhancing reports functionalities.
Strong understanding of SQL and communications skills.
At least 5 years of Business Intelligence experience with minimum 3 years in developing reports specifically with IBM Cognos Report Studio.
IBM Cognos v10.X.
Advanced prompting using JavaScript and also to enhance report functionality.
SQL Skills for reports.
Understanding of performance tuning of the report.
