Overview of Role:
Lead configuration manager working in the Technology Services group serving the client Enterprise. This is a senior technical position interfacing with application and infrastructure teams, asset management, Security and Operations. Essential technical tools for success will be working experience in the following:
Client Universal Discovery and uCMDB ver 10.x
ServiceNow discovery and service mapping

Job Description:
The candidate will be focused on IT infrastructure discovery/scan and service modeling (Software: OS Linux/Windows, databases Oracle/SQL, branded software, custom in house applications, Hardware: servers, workstations/desktops, network devices, storage devices internal/external, and network devices Responsibilities will include day-to-day implementation and support of Client Universal Discovery and uCMDB ver 10.x and its integrations with tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, Client Asset Manager and other.

Principal Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Support, maintain, upgrade and Administer Client Universal Discovery and uCMDB ver 10.x software infrastructure in an enterprise global environment.
Create standard and custom software and hardware discovery patterns and scan files
Maintain and administer CI relationships discovered and logical topologies
Configure uCMDB server, Data Flow Probes and Configuration Manager
Configure discovery jobs to run on appropriate schedules to maintain discovery performance
Configure and manage Service Modeling
Generate adhoc reports from uCMDB
Perform programming/scripting/packaging functions for example (software install/uninstall/Repair/Verify/Upgrade/Sync)
Work closely with provisioning teams to ensure PC and Server provisioning includes proper provisioning of UD agent
Work with system management team to continuously improve monitoring for Client Universal Discovery/uCMDB infrastructure, discovery jobs and functions
Willing to learn new technology tools and applications for example ServiceNow integration and development.
Flexibility for off hours on-call support and weekend scheduled changes

Professional/Technical Skills:
Must have at least 5 years'' hands-on working experience; building, administering, supporting and maintaining Client Universal Discovery uCMDB 10.x on Window platform (Client DDMA/Client DDMi and Universal Discovery)
Must have at least 5 years hands-op working experience with Data Flow probe, agent and agentless discovery
Must have custom discovery/scan configuration skills
Knowledge of federated data structures and experience with architecting and supporting uCMDB federations and custom integrations with ServiceNow
Nice to have Perl, patch and Rex scripting.
Linux and Windows systems administration tasks
Strong knowledge of SQL select statements and database views
General understanding of system hardware and network technology
General understanding of ITIL best practice

Preferred Skills:
ITIL Foundations Certification
Client UCMDB certification
Understanding of Python scripting and the "under the cover” mechanics of the discovery (desired, not required)
Demonstrated understanding of the role of configuration management in supporting and facilitating other IT Service Management Processes, such as Incident Management, Change Management, Request Management and Problem Management
Expert TQL query development skills
Expert understanding of Client approved modeling methodologies and best practices

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor degree of Computer Science, Engineering is or equivalent certificate and experience.
