Job Description :

One of my vendors asked me to share this role in my network as he has this role open with one of his clients.

Long term Consulting Opportunity in the Maryland/Delaware area for our client who is an American Fortune 100 Energy Company and expenses will be paid.

Our client has the need for an Energy Management System (EMS) database and Display Developer. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the legacy database and display requirements of the EMS. You will analyze designs, maintain t he database and associated displays for use by the Control Center Operations and Commercial Operations staff. You will also be responsible for the resolution of technical issues escalated by the operations department and Field Commissioning resources within SLAs.
You will configure database and display changes in support of real time planning power system configure and tuning team for EMS network modeling and advanced network applications. Database and display changes in support of generation dispatch and control configuration and tuning team. You will perform technical system regression testing of database and display changes.

REQUIREMENTS

* 5 years of experience working with an electrical utility EMS''s database and display development functions
* Must have CADD skills
* Must have relational database skills
* Must have knowledge of DNP3 (Distributed Network Protocol) and other communication protocols
* Must have general knowledge of electrical system
* Work with minimal supervision and be available to respond to operating issues escalated for resolution outside of normal working hours
* Be able to pass NERC/CIP background check
* Must have excellent technical and communications skills
