Client is looking for an IT Systems Engineer (Enterprise Monitoring) with SolarWinds experience to join our Enterprise Infrastructure Monitoring team. The IT Systems Engineer (Enterprise Monitoring) will act as an administrator and subject matter expert (SME), using their strong knowledge of SolarWinds to help mature monitoring/logging capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for designing, developing, testing, troubleshooting, deploying and maintaining monitoring solutions, reporting, alerting and dashboards
Creating production quality dashboards, reports and threshold alerting mechanisms
Represent team as the SolarWinds administrator and SME
Work closely with other monitoring engineers to establish standards and best practice
Develop working knowledge of SCOM & Splunk to assist in support of other monitoring tools
Document monitoring architecture, configurations and best practices
Need to be organized and analytical, and be able to document processes and procedures
Qualifications:
Min 5 years IT experience
Min 2 years experience administering, configuring, deploying, and customizing SolarWinds
Strong experience administering and monitoring enterprise operating systems, including Linux and Windows
Broad background in technical infrastructure, including servers, networking devices, and storage is very desirable
Experience with SCOM and/or Splunk a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
SolarWinds certifications are a plus
