Description:
Seeking highly motivated and hands-on experienced Infrastructure Automation Architect, to guide and lead scalable, fault tolerant and high performance Infrastructure solutions.
Demonstrated hands on experience across multiple infrastructure technologies such as Application Server management and performance tuning from Infra level, Virtualization – (worked with any hypervisor, Storage- capacity planning and scalability management), Networking – (setting DMZ zone, deep understanding of firewall setting and security policy) Operating Systems, Data, Application Hosting, Virtualization, Storage, and Networking.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, architect, and implement next generation system architecture and automation solutions.
- Own and lead initiatives to define, design, and implement DevOps solutions which includes reference architectures, estimates, and costing.
- Perform analysis best practices and emerging concepts in DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, and Enterprise Security;
- Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors and propose and lead automation from infra level
- Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.
- Interacts with senior management at a client and/or where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
- Has some latitude in decision-making? Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility.
- Should have preferably worked adopting emerging technologies and Open source
- Lead overall (design, automate and deploy) infrastructure on demand systems on public and private and datacenter workloads.
- Create deployment methods and automation scripts and templates to ensure all the infrastructure can be managed through CI/CD.
- Troubleshoot complex deployments across datacenters and identify how to enable mass installation faster and simpler.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years solution architecture experience for one or more public cloud (AWS, Azure or Google), using their IaaS or PaaS capabilities
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Ruby, Perl); Practical expertise in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problems analysis;
- 3+ years development experience using languages such as C#/.NET, Java, Python, JavaScript etc.
- Automation experience using Chef/Puppet, Ansible, Shell Scripting in Windows or Linux environments
- 3+ years’ experience in integrating cloud services using native SDKs or Web Services (RESTful or SOAP)
- Experienced with Linux containers runtimes (docker, rkt, lxc, etc and orchestrators (kubernetes, fleet, swarm, nomad, mesos-marathon
- Familiarity with software development tools (such as Artifactory, Git, SVN, Jenkins) and practices (such as CI/CD)
- Understanding of networking concepts, security fundamentals, role-based security, encryption etc.
- Intermediate to expert level understanding of Linux systems and management methodologies, including software packaging.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, leadership and negotiation skills with ability to drive decisions amongst stakeholders while proving thought leadership and technical oversight to bring infrastructure & cloud enabled projects into high functioning production services
