On behalf of one of our large Oil & Gas clients in downtown Houston, 77002. Procom Services is searching for an Intermediate Project Manager for a contract opportunity.
This is expected to be a 6 month plus project with extensions.

Core Responsibilities: Coordination and completion of a high visibility project related to facility drawings within the Drafting Services Team. Oversees all aspects of project. Sets deadlines, schedule resources, manage safety requirements, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepare the Decision summary. Develop project execution plans, schedules and project proposals. Provide liaison and guidance on matters relating to project controls. Deliver project safely from planning to implementation stage, on time, one budget, and meeting regulatory and technical requirements. Works closely with Field Operation, Drafting, Records Management and various other internal groups in the head office and field locations. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. Duties: Analyzes trends on project performance metrics and makes recommendations to project management team on corrective actions; Coordinate or direct the work of vendors; Promote and manage project safety, and can be tasked to lead incident investigations; Collaborate with designer/drafters on project and facility drawing updates; Perform technical reviews of vendor and/or engineering firm proposals, analyses and recommendations; Follow and ensure compliance with TransCanada''s Practice of Engineering (POE Qualifications: Extensive knowledge in compressor stations and meter stations drawings; Experience within the pipeline transmission, energy, petroleum, or petrochemical industries is required; Mechanical discipline experience (piping, valves, vessels, structural supports, etc working in the pipeline, energy, petroleum, or petrochemical industries is preferred; Experience with software applications such as SAP, MS project, Excel, etc; Demonstrates effective control of project cost expenditures; Willingness to travel for work assignments as required; Ability to quickly understand new processes and related issues; Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective business relationships to reach company objectives; Excellent time management skills; Understanding of project management methodologies of PMI and CII.
