On behalf of one of our large Oil & Gas clients, Procom services is looking for a SCADA Project Manager for a contract opportunity in downtown Houston, TX 77002
This role is expected to be a 6 month plus onsite project with extensions.
Hourly pay rate is open at this time.
Core Responsibilities:
The SCADA Project Manager is responsible for managing the implementation of the Company''s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) as well as other SCADA, technology, and communications-related projects.
In addition, this position supports SCADA physical installations, network security policies and coordinates cross-departmental efforts to integrate operational data and information into other business applications. This position is located in Houston, Texas.
Decision Making: Makes decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues and without formal guidelines or precedents and exercises resourcefulness and ingenuity to interpret policy
Duties:
* Manages and coordinates the implementation of SCADA projects through Definition, Design, Development, and Deployment.
* Manages projects of various size, scope, and budget to ensure that established deadlines and deliverables are met.
* Develops project work breakdown structure, develops scope, schedule, and budget.
* Participates in bid assignments, purchases, and schedules of various contracts and materials procurement.
* Manages and collaborates with contractors, consultants, and vendors on various SCADA projects.
* Supports and coordinates SCADA installations and integrations into other business applications. Prepares and executes Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests or Qualifications (RFQs) and Requests for Information (RFI s); selects appropriate consultants or vendors based on project requirements Collaborates with Internal stakeholders, outside consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulatory personnel on various projects and programs
* Creates and communicates project performance and financial scorecards to management
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent relevant experience
* Five years of increasingly responsible experience designing, building, and delivering large-scale SCADA systems
* Strong project management background
* Knowledge of SCADA network communication best practices
* Knowledge of SCADA security practices
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Strong organizational and project management skills
