JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Cyber Security Technical Writer will execute assignments for the Company’s Information Security and Risk Management team in the area of HITRUST and SSAE-18 SOC 2 assessment efforts.
Ideal candidate must be detail oriented with strong listening, written and computer communication skills for reporting and documentation purposes.
Create Policies, Standards and Procedures based upon control standards defined in HiTRUST Common Security Framework.
Interview and document current processes and undocumented procedures
Maintain knowledge of the cyber security capabilities of operating systems, networking devices, control systems, and vendor offerings
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
Highly analytical, and methodical, strong problem solving ability on complex subjects
Proven ability to effectively communicate verbally or in written form, with all levels of the organization, and able to influence a larger team to perform toward the same goal
Work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
Resolve issues and the implications to the business, and be able to communicate them with other operation departments within the business.
Execute the planning, design, development and implementation of technical controls, procedures and policy associated with compliance to HiTRUST and SSAE-18 SOC 2
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION:
Minimum of 5-7 years technical writing experience
2-5 years technical writing within a HiTRUST, SSAE -16 Auditing, IT Security Controls
Strong effective written and oral communication skills
Strong background in compliance, reporting and tracking
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to operate under pressure and under tight deadlines, and occasional night and weekend work
Demonstrated capability to make sound decisions based on good security practices and principles
Ability to work under pressure, and managing competing priorities
Demonstrated understanding of IT process and infrastructure/security related projects
COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SharePoint software; Internet software; Excel Spreadsheet software; and Word/PowerPoint software.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
HiTRUST Common Security Framework
SSAE-16 SOC Auditing knowledge
Common IT Security Controls
IT Infrastructure, Operating Systems, and Database Management Systems
