Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will help Key sight Technologies with process development of high precision mechanical components, improve quality of components produced by our partner machine shops outside Keysight, manage vendor relationship with machine shops outside Key sight and provide general support as it pertains to manufacturing of high precision components.
You will provide the following services within the PMTC organization of Key sight Technologies:
1. Fabricated parts design review and sourcing of high precision milling and turning components
2. Coordinated quality resolution activities to support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on part failures or production quality issues with our external supply base
3. Development of supplier needs based on new or existing technology capabilities - This may include new capabilities involving machining, part finishing (coatings), fabrication, or ability to deliver new supply chain solutions.
4. Supply chain quoting and purchasing collaboration
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related science discipline
Minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience with the following:
Fabrication techniques for mechanical parts - high precision machining (CNC milling & turning), assembly, and finishing
Experience and ability to utilize and interpret 2D & 3D CAD data effectively
Understanding of GD&T
Familiarity with mechanical design practices, techniques, and tradeoffs
Excellent team working ability, self-motivation, innovation, and individual contribution
Experience interfacing with suppliers
Additional preferred skills include:
Demonstrable project management and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office Tools
Ability to effectively multi-task multiple designs
Ability to effectively communicate with cross functional department representatives (Planning, Procurement, R&D Engineering)
Ability to adhere to schedules and department policies
