Job Description :
Systems Engineer to support the implementation of Oracle Federal Financials R12 on Oracle Exadata.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and implement Oracle E-business R12 on Oracle Exadata.
Assist in tuning Oracle Applications R12 on Oracle Exadata database machine.
Closely work with DBAs to setup the database environments to ensure optimum performance and maximization of available resources.
Proactively monitor and analyze performance statistics using Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) and perform capacity planning for database, applications, operating system and infrastructure.
Diagnose performance problems and resolve issues across various tiers (application, network, database, and server
Actively monitor and diagnose Oracle applications RICE components performance problems.
Support the month and year end close processes and maintenance of Oracle Applications system.
Ensure 24x7 availability and performance of mission-critical systems.
Administer all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages, and procedures.
Assist with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects, batch jobs.
Perform ongoing tuning of the database instances.
Analyze complex SQLs and recommend solutions using SQL Trace, TKPROF, Explain Plan, Query Optimizer, Partitioning, Optimizer statistics, indexing strategy, Hints, Stored Outlines, SQL Profiles, memory management and data management techniques.
Troubleshoot concurrent manager issues, setup custom managers.
Design, develop, review and deliver detailed design documents.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
10 + years working experience in Oracle Applications Architecture, implementation, administration, tuning, and development.
Minimum 5 years of related experience of Oracle Applications R12 and 12C database on Oracle Exadata machine.
Prior experience in database administration preferred, but this is not a DBA role.
Strong understanding of performance tuning and configuring Oracle ERP products.
Must have experience tuning large Oracle databases and tuning complex SQLs.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Must be very good in Oracle Database Architecture and Oracle Database Internals.
Must have hands on experience implementing Oracle on Linux and AIX platforms.
Preferred:
Development experience as Oracle Applications developer using PL/SQL, SQL,and Oracle development tools is a plus.
Experience with WebSphere, Autosys scheduler is preferred.
