Infrastructure Engineer-Middleware Chef -F5 load balancers & AWS -Florida, FL- 12 -24 Plus Months Contract

eDataForce Consulting LLC is Chef and F5 load balancer & AWS. Some form of middleware experience (app server, web server, messaging) is required but not a specific type. Our client is currently focus on Node.js and Tomcat from a middleware perspective with IBM MQ for messaging. Client legacy middleware is J Boss, WebSphere and tcServer.

In order for client to hit the ground running, they will need to know Chef and F5 load balancer & AWS as that’s the majority of the work client team executes.


Job Description: -
Load Balancing Engineer with hands-on experience on F5 BIG-IP GTM and LTM. This highly dynamic position will interact with application teams across the organization to engineer, document, and support load balancing solutions unique to the application requirements.
The Load Balancing Engineer will be an expert in the Chef & F5 Load Balancing platforms, must have integration/configuration/administration experience, and possess a solid Network background including an understanding of switch, network routing, and firewall concepts.
The Load Balancing Engineer must possess very strong troubleshooting skills as well as a strong TCP and HTTP understanding as it pertains to packet inspection and TCP flow in the Network and Application flows.
The Load Balancing Engineer must have a very good understanding of DNS functionality and concepts as it relates to IPv4 and IPv6. Experience with and/or knowledge/understanding of Infoblox a plus.
Experience working on the Citrix NetScaler as well as VDI environments is a plus.


Education/Experience: -
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field preferred, equivalent experience is acceptable
10+ years IT experience required, minimum 4 years in Load Balancing technology and DNS
-3+ years of experience using Docker (and/or other container technologies)
-3+ years of experience using Jenkins (and/or other self-hosted build systems)
-Fluency in one or more of the following (exceptional candidates will be proficient in more than one, if not all of them):
*Amazon Web Services (AWS)
*Google Cloud Engine
*Microsoft Azure
