PTC Solution Architect
Location: Hillsboro, OR
Duration: 7 months
Description:
- PTC Solution Architect - As a client Solution Architect, you must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within a collaborative environment.
- You will work closely with business partners and engineering teams to implement Product Data Management/Product Lifecycle Management Systems using PTC Flex/Windchill.
- In addition, you will engage with other partnering teams to identify and implement integration processes to link PLM across business tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate business requirements against Flex PLM solution functionality, identify gaps, and define solution architectures
- Responsible for technology evaluation and architecting systems that will support a forward-thinking Product Development group using PLM and other software tools.
- Strong understanding of Cloud technologies and ability to provide architecture solutions on a cloud ecosystem
- Define technology requirements and architectural artifacts, providing technical leadership in deploying Flex/Winchill solutions
- Work closely with engineering to deliver robust technology solutions enabling end to end technology initiatives
- Partner with Product Development business teams leading design, analysis, and development activities
- Align PLM Solution Architecture to client Enterprise technology direction
- Perform as an self-starter with high motivation and passion who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to change
Experience:
- Advance level technical skills in PTC Flex PLM platform and modules
- Experience with developing in Windchill and FlexPLM
- Expertise in Flex PLM upgrades and deep experience with out of the box configuration and industry product customizations
- Experience in SOA framework is highly preferred
- Design scalable systems solutions to support our Product development process
- Provide guidance to develop the PLM application strategy and project roadmap
- Identify appropriate technology to support customer needs and translate into functional requirements and technology designs
- Facilitate workshops, develop solutions, build consensus across all stakeholders to ensure timely and successful delivery of technology aligned to business value
- Establish best practices for PLM application and services to promote leveraging of common solutions
- Partner with PLM software vendors and influencing technology roadmap and PLM Product features
- Participate in critical problem solving and advanced troubleshooting to assist the organization
- Engineering experience with public cloud, distributed computing, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and custom developed solutions
- Demonstrated management of internal & external resources to accomplish objectives
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years’ experience in Architecture roles and performing the responsibilities of solution architect
- Proven track record of high-profile communications with Sr leaders; written and verbal
- 7+ years of hands-on professional experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of CAD/PDM/PLM systems in a multi-site environment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical CAD tools (Creo, Pro/Engineer)
- Experience with Flex, running on Linux cloud infrastructure
- 7 + years’ experience with overall configuration and support of PDM/PLM systems
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, change management
- Engineering experience with public cloud, distributed computing, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and custom developed solutions
