Usability Tester (Performance and Accessibility Testing)

Location: Sacramenro, CA

Duration: 1 year, extendable to 3 years

Rate: depends on experience and qualifications, no travel expenses (to supply fully loaded rate)

Contract Preference: W2 (or) 1099 (or) Corp-Corp

Duties:
Performance Testing
The Consultant will meet with project stakeholders as needed to gather requirements regarding the user action on the solutions for speed, capacity, stability, and scalability. Based on the suggested user action, the Consultant will perform the following tasks and provide documentation:
Identify the performance-critical scenarios;
Record scripts;
Parameterize scripts to vary user input data;
Identify information that needs to be gathered for load testing;
Load test the application;
Analyze the data captured during the test to make sure the application meets performance requirements; and
Provide Performance Test Results Summary.

Accessibility Testing

The Consultant will collaborate with CCHCS stakeholders to perform research, analysis, and testing to ensure applications are compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG Consultant must possess an understanding and working knowledge of web applications, analysis of technical documentation, testing techniques, and have experience using various accessibility software tools such as Job Access with Speech (JAWS) and Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) to evaluate application accessibility compliance as part of the overall Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC The Consultant will perform the following tasks and provide documentation as approved by the CCHCS stakeholders:
Perform initial accessibility testing and any follow-up testing;
Document accessibility reports & accessibility remediation/exception defects; and
Work with other system testers and developers to ensure any accessibility

Mandatory Qualifications:
1. A minimum of five (5) years of experience applying analytical processes on IT projects, and at least three (3) years of that experience must have been in systems analysis and design;
2. A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with multi-platform environments including, developing test plans, test design specifications, and test case specifications for complex distributed systems;
3. A minimum of five (5) years of experience using industry leading test tools (e.g., HP LoadRunner, HP UFT, MS Visual Studio Test Professionals, JAWS); (Only the proposed personnel for Performance and Accessibility Testing must meet this Mandatory Qualification
4. A minimum of five (5) years of experience setting up environments including test environments, system-under-test environments, and data sets for test execution;
5. A minimum of five (5) years of experience analyzing business, functional, and technical requirements and translating them into test requirements;
6. A minimum of five (5) years of experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar tools;
7. A minimum of five (5) years of experience executing functional testing, integration testing, interface testing involving SOA using HL7 and performance testing, and reporting on test results;
8. A minimum of five (5) years of experience developing and executing testing automation and reporting on test results; and
9. A minimum of five (5) years of experience providing mentoring and training to staff in the areas of application analysis, test case development, test execution, troubleshooting, and test documentation.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Experience with Electronic Health Care Record Systems; and
2. Experience with organizational change management.
