Description:
State Of Pennsylvania: Department of Corrections (DOC)
DOC requires the services of a Business Analyst staff augmentation consultant to act as a liaison between business units and data warehouse technical development team to ensure business requirements are understood and translated into functional and technical requirements for new development of a data warehouse and subsequent reporting for DOC and Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole (PBPP) users.
DOC IT utilizes both waterfall and agile project methodologies. As such, experience with both waterfall and agile project methodologies will be preferred.
Responsibilities:
Collects, analyzes, and documents business rules, processes, and legislation.
Leads business requirements gathering sessions with business and technical resources for the data warehouse.
Analyzes other business documentation (i.e. policies/procedures, Use Cases of other development projects, etc to determine necessary changes or enhancements to the data warehouse.
Works with developers, system owners and business users to ensure processes are defined, documented and translated into technical requirements in order for the development team to build and deliver the data warehouse solution.
Works with users to Investigate, model, define and document required business processes, including business process that improve data collection and quality.
Prepares or reviews detailed functional specifications for complex IT systems development or enhancement projects to be used by developers for system coding.
Participates in the development of detailed functional specifications for highly complex system development and enhancement projects.
Prepares user stories and use cases and involve in agile development project team.
Develops user acceptance test scripts.
Conducts system testing or coordinates system testing with users and Q/A Team.
Reviews and approves test results performed.
Prepares system change requests.
Plans for the implementation of system changes.
Recommends system or system change implementation schedules.
Updates training materials and provides user training.
Troubleshoots system, data, or process problems.
Prepares queries and reports using various reporting software packages.
Performs related work as required.
