Mandatory Technical Skills :
6+ years of overall experience.
3+ years Big data development experience
Strong experience with Mapreduce, Hive, Spark, Sqoop, Kafka, Presto, Impala.
Strong experience with NoSQL data modelling with Cassandra/Hbase/MongoDB etc.
Solid experience with OLAP, NoSQL and MPP/columnar database technologies
Operational expertise in the use of SQL/HQL/NoSQL
Ability to perform data related benchmarking, performance analysis and tuning
Strong skills in In-memory applications, Database Design, Data Integration, ETL and MPP Architecture.
Solid understanding of Data Warehousing & BI Concepts.
• Implementing, managing and administering the overall hadoop infrastructure.
Should be able to care of the day-to-day running of Hadoop clusters
Should be able to work closely with the database team, network team, BI team and application teams to make sure that all the big data applications are highly available and performing as expected.
Excellent skills with capacity planning and estimating the requirements for lowering or increasing the capacity of the hadoop cluster.
Ensure that the hadoop cluster is up and running all the time.
Need to be good with Monitoring the cluster connectivity and performance. Manage and review Hadoop log files. Backup and recovery tasks.Resource and security management
Troubleshooting application errors and ensuring that they do not occur again.
General operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of system’s capacity, bottlenecks, basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networks.
Should be able to deploy Hadoop cluster, add and remove nodes, keep track of jobs, monitor critical parts of the cluster, configure name-node high availability, schedule and configure it and take backups.
Good knowledge of Linux.
Familiarity with open source configuration management and deployment tools such as Puppet or Chef and Linux scripting.
Familiarity Basic Java/Unix Knowledge
Sound knowledge Unix based File System

Need to bring in Thought Leadership and be Innovative.
Need to Keep Pace with latest trends and technologies.

Mandatory Functional Skills :
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong presentation and facilitation skills
Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) while providing thought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders in solving business process and/or technical problems.
