Position Overview
The infrastructure tools department is responsible for administering and managing a portfolio of Information Technology tools used by the enterprise. This senior level systems administration/engineering position will be responsible for effective installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. This individual will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.
This individual will be primarily accountable for back-end server/appliance infrastructure and Administration and infrastructure maintenance of tools such as Webservices gateway appliances and Sterling Integrator/File gateway at Freddie Mac. The candidate will be assisting the team in developing and delivering new system enhancements as well as remediating existing production bugs and issues
Key Qualifications
Experience with Web Services gateway (IBM Datapower experience preferred), Sterling Integrator/File gateway (desired) and other related file transfer products.
Responsibilities
o Setup, administration and maintenance of Web Services gateway
o Install and configure systems such as Webservices gateway.
o Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
o Setup, administration and maintenance of Sterling Integrator, Control Center and FileGateway
o Configure and provision partners in Sterling Integrator and FileGateway.
o Create custom business processes and channel templates to meet specific application needs for file transfer.
o Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.
o Co-ordinate with external and internal teams during testing and deployment of WSG proxy configuration.
o Apply patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
o Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
o Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
o Follow Freddie Mac Release and Change Management processes.
o Augment production support team to ensure 24/7 coverage and operations.
Qualification Criteria:
5+ years of experience in Web Services gateway products in a senior role including experience with policy configuration, application integration and firmware deployment
Proficiency utilizing IBM DataPower in a high transactional volume environment, including tuning, monitoring, load balancing, high-availability and clustering
Knowledge and understanding of Unix commands, and other scripting languages
Experience with SOAP Web services with emphasis on security, including familiarity with SSL/TLS
Experience with XSLT, XSDs, and WSDLs
Experience with DataPower AAA (authentication, authorization, and auditing)
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize work without management direction, and provide clear and documented status updates to the management and the team.
