Job Description:
We are looking for an API/Cloud Security Consultant who has strong background in API management and API security. Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, debugging and continued development and refinement of various security components Service based APIs.
Knowledge/Skills :
Experienced in Service based architecture, Web Services and APIs – SOAP, REST, JSON/XML,
Experienced in API management and security
Experienced in SAML, OAuth 2.0. OpenID, OpenID connect
Experienced in JWT, and other token based security
Working knowledge of API Gateway product L7
Experienced in database MySql
Have solid understanding of Authentication and Authorization concepts.
Have extensive knowledge of enterprise web applications and their underlying technologies, including web browsers, application servers, reverse proxies, HTTP header and cookies, session management.
Have extensive knowledge in SSO, Federated SSO
Experienced in Director services - LDAP
Strong UNIX skills
Strong communication skills and technical leadership will be needed to broker discussions with infrastructure, application development, and management.
Major Duties:
1. Design, implement and test API Security policies and configurations.
2. On boarding of applications in API management tool such as Layer 7
3. Debug and troubleshoot application issues and provide technical help.
4. Designing and Implementing custom solutions for API Security.
5. As needed, assist application teams with the design and troubleshooting security features.
6. Write shell scripts to automate repetitive tasks as required.
7. Interface with and advise development on API security and federation.
8. Write and execute test cases, migrate applications from test to production.
