AWS Engineer
Pay Rate: $60.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Job Location: San Diego, CA
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON W-2/1099. NO C2C.
MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR AN ON-SITE INTERVIEW IN SAN DIEGO, CA.
Our client, a well-established and growing entertainment company in San Diego, CA, is looking for a hands-on AWS wizard, who is comfortable working in an enterprise production environment and can act as the in-house AWS Subject Matter Expert (SME AWS Gurus wanted.

Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience with large, complex information systems
3+ years of experience provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environments
Vast experience with transitioning physical plant to AWS environments
Must have strong LAMP & Tomcat experience
Experience in automation and testing via scripting/programming
Understanding of agile and other development processes and methodologies
Experience with SVN and Github (preferred)
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent (preferred)
Achieved AWS Certified Developer and/or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator certifications
Experience developing code in at least one high-level programming language
Responsibilities
Automate operational tasks such as software configuration, server scaling and deployments, and database setups in multiple AWS cloud environments with the use of modern application and configuration management tools (e.g. Jenkins, Chef, Puppet
Enable developers, testers, and operations to build and deploy our applications from code to multiple environments quickly and rapidly with “one button click” ease
Standardize, automate and document setup of development and production environments
Deploy code across multiple servers effortlessly
Evaluate, build and/or configure tools for internal use to support software engineering best practices
Own and drive improvements to our build and release scripts, tools, and processes
Collaborate with peers on work estimation/planning and implementation of new versions/features of tools
Help define best practices for source control, continuous integration, automated testing and release management
Using monitoring tools to find problems, resolve and/or escalate to support and application development and ensure that we exceed our service levels
Understand and contribute to the creation of system support documents, operational run books, and build recipes for server configuration
