Job Description :
Senior Technical Writer
Location: Raleigh, NC
Contract Term: 6 months+
Interview Mode: Phone followed by in person


[Potential] Develop expertise in a DITA-based CCMS (IXIASOFT), a DITA authoring tool (oXygen), and a dynamic web help delivery platform

Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree, first degree, or equivalent experience in Technical Communications
4-7 years as a technical writer for complex systems
Experience in a single-sourcing environment using structured authoring techniques.
Proficiency with:
o Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
o Adobe Acrobat Professional (for PDF generation)
o Graphics capture tools

Preferred Skills
Experience in a single-sourcing environment using structured authoring techniques.
Proficiency in DITA, DITA-OT and XML editors in a CCMS
Working knowledge and experience of software problem investigation and troubleshooting
Desirable software experience
o Astoria CMS
o IXIASOFT CMS
o oXygen
o WebWorks
