Job Description:
Essential Functions
Work with Science team members towards enhancing models written in tools such as R/SparkR. Works towards developing and implementing new diagnostics and prognostic models. Must be capable to code customized models in Python or R and conduct data analytics on the repair history data. This is a hands-on analytics position with no managerial functions. Effective execution of assigned tasks is essential.
Essential Knowledge
Working experience in one or more areas such as Diagnostics, Prognostics, Predictive is required. Experience in the area of Advanced Analytics in the Automotive/Industrial Domain is preferred. Proven experience working with predictive models and clustering. Solid knowledge in one or more Analytics tools such as Python or R and experience working with Azure ML, Matlab and SPSS. Knowledge of the Matlab neural network package a plus. Must know how to develop models using these packages.
Essential Skills
Interest in working on projects with engineering applications. Good communication and cooperation skills. Affinity for solving numerical problems. Able to work well in a team environment.
Immediate need for a Data Scientist/Engineer to be part of a team supporting the development of Advanced Analytics driven Solutions.
This is a hands-on supervised position.
Applicant must be prepared to readily execute analytic tasks derived from project requirements and code customized models as necessary.
Applicant must also be willing to work @ Clients location within the Midwest region.
Travel within the Mid-west is allowed.
Education
B.S. or M.S degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution is required. M.S. degree is preferred. Applicant may also have a BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree with sufficient experience in the predictive maintenance field
