Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work with a component engineering team and product engineering team to provide rapid prototyping and characterization of acoustic system for wearable
Provide support for modelling and design for prototyping and manufacturing of acoustic microphone and speakerphone.
Use software tools (Matlab, Goldwave etc to model system acoustic characteristics
Work with cross-functional team to draft component specification, design reviews, work with vendors to manufacture parts and validate results by specifying test parameters and methodologies

Required
Bachelor or Master''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustical Engineering or Science, Physics, or other related technical areas
Extensive experience in advanced R&D environment beyond academic training (more than 3 years beyond a Master''s degree or more than 7 years beyond a Bachelor’s degree)
Experience in the design and test of audio devices and systems
Experience in developing or using simulation software, such as Matlab/Simulink, etc
Able and willing to travel across north America if the project required it

Desired
Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Acoustical Engineering or Science, Physics, or other related technical areas
Design experience of audio and/or speech algorithms research including ASR, echo cancelation, feedback cancellation, ANC, vocal pitch shifting and transformation.
Proficient in DSP theory, scientific programming, adaptive filtering, machine learning, GMM, clustering and neural networks
Expert in Matlab, real-time Simulink prototyping and fixed-point embedded software.
Low level integration into DSP, fixed point math in firmware, advance C/C++ skills
Adaptive signal processing and machine learning
