Senior Business Analyst

Description:
Advises and recommends areas of program planning, business requirements management, budget execution and program coordination. Prepares needs assessment. Validates resource requirements and develops cost estimate models. Conducts and coordinates financial, product, market, operational, and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and programs of the client group. Interprets, evaluates, and interrelates research data, and develops integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making. Plans and coordinates the development of primary and secondary market research studies in support of strategic planning and specific marketing initiatives, as required, and presents findings of studies to client committees. Provides consultative, advisory, technical, and staff support, as appropriate. Ability to use survey and market research methodologies, systems, and techniques.

6+ years Business Analyst or related experience

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Education :
Bachelors

-BA or BS required plus minimum 6+ years of direct relevant experience.
-Ability to use survey and market research methodologies, systems, and techniques.
-Capital Construction and or Real Estate accounting experience.
-Project Controller experience for construction projects.
-Knowledgeable in SOX and internal controls.
-Large employer experience; e.g. defense contractors and real estate development.
-Proficient in Oracle – OneLink platform.

Essential Functions:
Primary focus for this position is on management of the Financials in a region or major portion of a region. - Directs planning and coordination of specific budgets, and develops requirements for budgeting standards.
- Coordinates project forecast information (cost, schedule) with Regional Planning departments. Consults with NFS leaders and department managers on capital and facility plans and forecasts.
- Oversees development and implementation of requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports, and performance monitoring and control functions on major projects.
- Prepares and analyzes facility operating expense budgets, monitors expenses, prepares analysis reports and consults with NFS Leaders and department Managers on expense control.
- Presents ongoing executive summary and detailed analyses to management for use in status updates and leadership decisions related to balancing of adjustments in project direction/resource concentration.
- Liaison with senior financial personnel in regions to provide financial information and analysis related to construction projects, facility operations and real estate functions.
- Works with regional Property Accounting to ensure that NFS capitalization and asset impairment processes in the region are properly carried out and compliant with SOX requirements.
- Leads month end close for operating costs; approves journals for Close; identifies and resolves aberrations to the General Ledger during close.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
