Summary Position Description:
Our Client is seeking Business Intelligence developer/analyst. This individual will be a full-time dedicated resource to the Applications Support Division and will be responsible for analyzing data for multiple projects along with the development of appropriate BI solutions.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a desire to perform statistical analysis, learn new systems and technologies, the ability to contribute as a member of cross-functional teams, be well-organized and detail-oriented, maintain a positive attitude, be proactive and have excellent communication skills.
The selected candidate will be responsible for working closely with customers, analysts and developers to properly process data, perform analysis, and present it in a BI interface that can support sound business decision-making. The selected candidate will provide support for the documentation, and assist in the design and development of business intelligence solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop BI reports, including effective interfaces for presenting data and analysis to meet business requirements
Identify, analyze, and document corporate data to assess quality, build data sets, and anticipate challenges to utilizing data to fulfill business requirements
Explore data and discover patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends
Work closely with and under the direction of the Data Science & BI team to provide documentation, analysis and solutions for customer data and reporting needs
Provide input to and interpret business requirements
Identify and provide input to new technology opportunities impacting enterprise wide BI systems
Participate and may lead work-stream planning process from inception, technical design, development, testing, and documentation and support delivery of BI solutions
Perform analysis based on business requirements to estimate level of effort
Research business problems and create models that help analyze them
Troubleshoot issues, determine root cause and provide solutions
Provide input to the development of information quality metrics, ensure they are documented and tracked
Research and stay abreast with best practices, tools, frameworks, mechanisms for data analytics, business strategies and direction
Perform technical writing to design and deliver end-user training and training materials as needed
Educational Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or related field
Desired Qualifications:
2-3 years of database design and T-SQL experience
2-3 years of Microsoft BI stack technology experience
2-3 years of experience with MS SQL Server
2-3 years of experience with SSMS, SSRS, SSIS
2-3 years of experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or related application
2-3 years of experience with software development/programming experience desire
