SUMMARY:
The .NET Application Developer is responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of Chamberlains MyQ loT middleware system. MyQ is a cutting edge distributed enterprise solution that scales up to connect millions of devices with millions of users. MyQ partners with class leading technology partners such as Apple, Google, Samsung, etc. to provide integrated solutions for customers. The Developer position will be responsible for delivery high quality software that has been unit and integration tested, participate in code reviews, contribute to the software and system architecture and be a part of a team of highly skilled consultants and employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Produce high quality, maintainable and scalable software.
Analyze requirements, collaborate with architect and leads to produce thoughtful software designs. Maintain coding standards and participate in peer code reviews.
Use Unit testing framework and maintain 100% code coverage.
Ensure architectural principals and standards are maintained across your code and project lifecycles.
Participate in technical assessment, scoping and management of changes to the code-based on new business requirements, product enhancements and other change requests.
Collaborates and works closely with other technical leads and domain experts, such as Infrastructure, Database, Middleware, and Front End (App/ Web) as the team develops features and platform enhancements.
Capable of leading and contributing to technical discussions.
Stays current on modern technologies and innovations which can further enhance and improve the commercial success of the MyQ connectivity solution.
EDUCATION: BSC/BS/BA in Computer Science or related field, Master’s Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3-5 years in developing, implementing and maintaining solutions using the
Microsoft technology stack, including ASP.NET using C#, Entity Framework, LINO to SQL, and WCF. Experience with MVC.NET is preferred.
Experience with SharePoint 2010 custom solutions in an intranet/extranet environment is preferred.
Experience in creating technical documentation is preferred.
Experience with Visual Studio 2010/2012 and Team Foundation Server (TFS) or GIT for source control is preferred.
