IDEALFORCE has a Contract position available immediately for a PC/LAN Desktop Support Technician to join our customer in Phoenix, AZ. Please find below additional details about this job. Client is seeking a customer-focused, experienced PC/LAN Desktop Support Technician. This position will be primarily focused on providing exemplary, daily desktop/PC support and related services for the Client’ Investment Management Division (IMD Providing support for other Client business units is also expected, as needed.

THE POSITION DUTIES INCLUDE:
Developing, documenting and updating the IMD desktop service catalogue, including hardware, OS images, software configuration standards, update methods/intervals, minimum security baseline assurance and associated desk procedures.
Fulfilling day-to-day requests for service and resolving technical issues related to client-side Windows systems, installed software, online applications, printers, network connectivity and active directory in an enterprise technology environment.
Researching and applying new technology to meet business needs.
Responding to customer Helpdesk requests for service and incident response; other duties as assigned.

Required skills:
5+ years’ experience in a mid to large-sized organization, performing customer-facing/end-user technical support.
Knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows 7, Windows 10, Office suites and server operating systems.
Knowledge of Linux and open source applications.
Understanding of network architecture.
Understanding of PC and related peripherals’ architecture.
Full understanding of the OSI stack and ability to apply it to methodical, thoughtful troubleshooting.
Service Management knowledge related to managing, documenting, escalating and communicating helpdesk tickets in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
Well-developed facilitation skills to achieve results among various internal employees and external business partners.
Excellent organization, communication and written skills.
Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking to solve problems.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the agency.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Preferred Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Associates degree (or higher) from an accredited college/university.
Experience providing desktop support in an investment management environment.
Experience supporting any or all of the following:
- LaTex, LyX, MiTeX
- Bloomberg
- Rstudio & R
- Python
- BarraLink
- AEGIS
- Quickbooks
Experience with SCCM.
Any relevant certification a plus.
