Project Manager

Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL
Duration: 7-8 months

Description:
This position will manage the portfolio of information security initiatives as well as ongoing compliance projects and assist with project prioritization to ensure alignment with the lines of businesses and Technology so that key initiatives are delivered successfully and timely. This role will be required to collaborate with various cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to coordinate and drive delivery of projects across the client line of business.

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, plan, schedule, and coordinate security controls and compliance programs
- Create and ensure adherence to master plans and schedules
- Partner with Technology and PMO team members to integrate InfoSec projects within business product roadmaps
- Direct work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments
- Responsible for overall Information Security Program budget management
- Develop and maintain information security program governance through formal reporting to the Director, Information Security Compliance and Senior Leadership
- Assist with creation and management of an Information Security Dashboard and Reports status to stakeholders including senior leadership
- Facilitate discussion of making trade-off decisions between quality, cost, resource, scope, and time
- Review the status reports of team members across projects and address issues as appropriate
- Aid in the negotiation of contracts as well as participate in RFPs
- Act as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations
- Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Perform a variety of complex tasks
- Build and maintain relationships necessary for the successfully execution of the information security program
- Assist in documenting security requirements for information security projects
- Contribute to the Information Security team by coordinating assessments and assisting with program documentation as needed

Required Skills:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field
- PMI Certification: PMP or PgMP
- Minimum of 5 years program management in a leadership role within Information Security
- Proven experience leading large, complex projects across multiple functional departments, using a project management approach with clear objectives, goals, and repeatable process
- Strong understanding of security in information security policy, standards, architecture, technology and programs.
- Strong understanding of information security and the relationship between threat, vulnerability and information value in the content of risk management.
- Must have a track record of implementing a comprehensive strategy and plan for managing information security.
- Ability to gather, analyze and interpret business drivers and developing practical security solutions that provide adequate security to support the business.
- Possess a good understanding of appropriate leading-edge technologies.
- Demonstrated ability in project management and change management.
- Demonstrated ability to build an effective, cohesive and collaborative team.
- Extensive experience building and managing a diverse and inclusive team environment with strong commitment to respect, equality and teaming.
- CISSP, CISM, PMP certifications are preferred.
