Overview of Role:

We are looking for an experienced hire to manage marketing finance, operations and planning for an Accenture Business and direct the execution of integrated marketing and communications activities. The individual will provide guidance to senior marketing leadership based on a thorough understanding of global marketing programs and interactions with marketing colleagues and other parts of the business. They will also synthesize input into insightful conclusions for Accenture leadership and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be a well-rounded individual with superior communications skills both orally and in writing and a track record of being able to influence a broad range of executive stakeholders. They will be assertive, articulate and agile in their work style. This is a role for someone who understands the strategic value that marketing can and must be able to deliver to the business and excels at the business operations needed to optimize the successful outcome of marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

The role is split between one-third functional finance management and two-thirds operational planning management.
The financial responsibilities include managing the marketing budget for the business and providing guidance to marketing leadership. It requires a keen sense for numbers and an ability to manage a great deal of detail while interacting with many stakeholders.
Planning/setup for next fiscal year including:
o Creation of business cases and forecasts for each area in the financial management tool
o Collaboration matrix (shows prioritization for countries, functions, industries)
o Payroll estimation/forecasting
o Plan entry into the financial management tool
o Client Service Group guidance (estimation of spend by quarter for each CSG)
o Create master tracker that rolls up budget for all programs/areas/centrally held budget
o Cleanup of WBS inventory and submit business cases for new WBS elements
o Plan for corporate chargebacks

Ongoing actions:
Quarterly forecasts and the operationalization and balancing of budgets at the end of the quarter
Estimates-at-complete – a quarterly check of submitted forecasts
Manage global WBS elements and PO/invoice approvals
Send weekly budget snapshots to team
Manage the following budgets:
· Global
· Advertising/Big Bets
· Priority 2 Country investments
Provide leads with spend summaries and burn rate; sort out any anomalies (quarterly)
Review open purchase orders
MDI progress template
Pull salary/loaded payroll info and adjust payroll forecast for new hires and other team changes
Confirm plan/forecast for corporate team
Review open WBS and maintain authorization lists - and check unauthorized charges



Ad hoc:
Invoice inquiries
Purchase order requests that get rejected
New vendor setup or change of vendor status


The operational responsibilities require proactive engagement with leadership and the rest of the marketing team to be able to recognize issues. This communication allows for the insights that help drive prioritization and shape agendas.

· Planning/setup for next fiscal including:
High level planning (usually April-May)
Collaboration matrix (prioritization for countries, functions, industries)
Support July/August LT meeting focused on planning by helping in planning agenda & structure, making sure we have all plans ready to review, taking notes and capturing any follow-ups that come out of the session and consolidating the plans for a global or cross-CST view where needed
· Leadership Team
Shape agendas for LT calls and planning meetings
Share notes and send reminder of actions after calls
Support senior marketing leaders with development and long-term planning of issue based campaigns and key strategies
· Team Calls
Create strawman for agenda and finalize in leadership call
Reach out to presenters on requirements, compile deck and run online meeting
· Actions for people joining/leaving team
Gather personal profiles for team call/team book
Authorize WBS elements
Grant SharePoint/OneNote access
Support for onboarding new team members
Confirm roster for corporate team
Snacktory access
Analyze client data for targeting (eg. For advertising campaign and DemandBase targeting)
· Provide guidance to team on events that need legal review and entry in compliance SharePoint
· Confirm contractor roster
· Travel requests
· SharePoint postings and maintenance
· Team book updates
· Issues book updates


Additional Requirements

· Demonstrated ability to write for many different types of audiences in a way which informs, influences, engages and generates understanding.
· Personal sensitivity; the ability to see things from multiple points of view.

· Solid understanding of marketing fundamentals along with Accenture core programs and data based marketing strategies and brand strategy
· Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
· Excellent executive relationship presence
