Job Description :
Description: This position is for Verizon’s IT system for a mission
critical application. The Application Support Analyst will be
responsible to support the 24*7 Mission Critical applications. Some of
the high level tasks include:
Monitoring production environments and troubleshooting Customer
/System Issues.
Address tickets related to Data or system issues by Customer or
Business Groups on day to day basis.
Provide support in case of outage related to the
application/Network Issues/Other IT apps
Independently handle deploys and Installs for Monthly Change
Controls (releases planning and execution)
Support & validate impacts of Change controls created by Network,
Data centers, and by Interfacing IT applications
Provide On-call Support on rotation basis for 24*7 Mission
Critical Application.
Scripting and code writing skills needed for utility and Embedded
base projects

Technical Skills
This is a Java/J2EE Application support position and requires 4
to 5 years of Java/J2EE skills with application support experience.
4 year degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
4+ years of Java, JEE/J2EE, Spring, Camel, Hibernate, JSP,
Servlet, WebSphere.
4 years + experience in relational database structures, SQL and
Oracle PL*SQL is a must.
Linux/Unix knowledge for troubleshooting using logs
Excellent SQL knowledge to query complex table using indexes/hints
Preferred experience with Cloud and DevOps tools (GIT/Stash,
Fortify, Jenkins, AWS)
Preferred experience in configuration and development using MQSeries
Knowledge of WILY, ELK Stack or other monitoring tools are a plus
Experience in Build, Deploys, configuring JMS, Web services,
JNDI, DB Pool, Websphere and Oracle database
Very good knowledge in Unix, Batch process, watching the log files
Tests, debugs, documents, and installs new applications and programs.
Work closely with development, infrastructure, QA and DBAs.
Collaborate with the team in Agile Environment
Monitor program execution for expected performance
On-call rotation to support High Availability system.
Respond to errors and emergencies within applications and programs
Perform installation of code releases and patches and write
scripts or programs for IT applications
Work on issues/tickets reported by Business teams based on predefined SLAs
