Role: Cyber Security Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 6 month+ contract 

Candidate must be a US citizen. US DoD clearance desired, and must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance if not currently in possession

Description:
Must have Secure Software Development Experience.

Key Skill
1.    Degree in EE/CS
2.    Plus software development experience in security aspects of the software application
a.    PKI, certificates, digital signatures, claims-based authentication, IAM, authorization, identity, firmware, embedded
3.    Experience implementing cryptography aspects of network protocols
a.    WPA/WPA2, AES, RSA, TCP/IP, Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, 802.11
4.    Experience in security validation
a.    penetration testing, static code analysis, fuzzy testing, threat modeling
5.    Experience in thought leadership activities
a.    standards, working groups, regulations, roadmaps, cybersecurity
6.    US Citizen

Job Description

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·     Providing technical leadership in deployment of best practices in cyber security in the design and development of safety critical products.
·     Participate to the development of cyber security roadmaps Participation to industry working groups, and conferences in cyber security to define regulatory requirements and assess emerging security requirements impact to current product developments and in-service systems.
·     Develop and deploy robust risk-based approaches to analyze cyber security threats and vulnerabilities in software and embedded systems using state of the art tools
·     Develop and recommend architectural design guidance to mitigate cyber security vulnerability and best practices in countermeasures.
·     Proactively assess cyber security threats and vulnerabilities for potential vulnerabilities in product portfolio and develop mitigation plans when necessary.
·     Engaging third party companies and universities in the areas of penetration testing, design consultation and training curriculum. Ultimate responsibility is to ensure new products are the most secure in the industry.

Qualifications

Successful candidate will possess or demonstrate the ability to learn the following experience/skills:

·     Experience in the development of all phases of the life cycle for embedded system and software design.
·     Experience and knowledge of penetration testing methodologies, tools and best practices
·     Selecting and optimizing tools for security such as source code analysis and dynamic testing.
·     Cryptographic approaches for data integrity and validation of source such as Encryption (AES, RSA) and Digital Signatures.
·     Secure network authentication and communication protocols for interfaces such as Ethernet, Wireless, Cellular, SATCOM, ARINC 429, etc.
·     Understanding of relevant industry guidance for security frameworks such as DO-326, ARINC 811, or NIST.
·     Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse functional teams, such as design, supply chain, manufacturing, communications and executive management.

Education

·     The position requires a candidate with a Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
·     PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 3 years'' experience preferred
